Connie Chiume Honoured at The Creative Industry And Cultural Awards

Connie Chiume was honoured with the Living Legend: Lifetime Award at the inaugural Creative Cultural and Industry Awards.

With 47 years in the film industry and over 20 appearances in local and international films and shows, the former Gomora actress was recognised for her efforts in helping build the creative industry.

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture launched the inaugural Cultural and Creative Industry Awards.

According to Minister Zizi Kodwa, the awards are designed to uplift and support the cultural and creative expressions that bring people together, enrich communities, and contribute to a vibrant nation.

The actress thanked the Minister of Sports Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa, for recognising and celebrating local talent.

Connie Chiume is an award winning South African actress. She has been in the industry for over forty-five (45) years and has won multiple awards.

Her proudest moment in her career was getting casted on the International Film, Black Panther (2018) and Black Panther 2

Lilian Dube, Wilson B. Nkosi, and Dr. Esther Mahlaungu also received CCI Lifetime Achievement Awards.
