Seshego stadium refurbished to meet PSL standards and Mankweng stadium nears completion.
Polokwane Executive Mayor Cllr. John Mpe says the manicipality is in a bid to position Polokwane as a premier destination for sports and tourism.
Mpe congratulated Magesi FC, who recently earned automatic promotion to the Dstv premier soccer league.
He noted that Magesi’s promotion comes at a time the municipality is preparing Seshego Stadium to meet PSL standards.
Mpe revealed that a substantial investment is earmarked for the refurbishment of Seshego Stadium.
“The endeavor aims to elevate the stadium to meet the stringent standards set by the Premier Soccer League, while also enabling it to host a variety of other sporting events,” said Mpe
Mpe emphasized its potential to unlock numerous economic opportunities.
He also highlighted the prospect of fostering entrepreneurship and supporting Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs).

An additional funding of R184 million to complete the construction of the Polokwane Softball Stadium.
