Shebeshxt Appeares in Absentia Before the Lebowakgomo Regional Court
Limpopo Musician Lehlogonolo Chauke, well known as Shebeshxt appeared in absentia at Lebowakgomo Regional Court for pre-trial for the count of attempted murder on Thursday.
Shebeshxt, was scheduled to appear in court this week to address charges stemming from a 2022 incident.
The case involves accusations of attempted murder, following an alleged stabbing in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo.
Limpopo spokesperson for the National Prosecution Authority (NPA), Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, said the pre-trial was postponed to Friday next week by the Lebowakgomo Regional Court.
“The accused Lehlogonolo Chauke “Shebeshxt” has appeared in absentia at Lebowakgomo Regional Court for pre-trial on a count of attempted murder. The accused could not attend court proceedings due to his sickness,” said Malabi-Dzhangi.
“The court postponed the matter to July 19, to enable him (Shebeshxt) to provide medical certificate to show his inability to attend court,” said Malabi-Dzhangi.

The musician recently lost his nine-year-old daughter Onthatile during a motor vehicle accident. The artist was behind the wheel when the accident occurred between Polokwane and Lebowakgomo last month.
He was travelling to his girlfriend’s home in Lebowakgomo to drop her and his daughter off before making his way to an ANC Siyanqoba rally in the same area. His vehicle collided with a truck before it crashed. The rapper is being probed for culpable homicide.
He spent weeks in hospital before he was released to recover at home with his family.
