Rise Teanet, Richie, and C Boy recently expressed their disappointment with fellow musician Tebza De DJ.

The trio, following in the footsteps of their late father, Peta Teanet, have raised serious allegations of being taken advantage of by Tebza De DJ.

The crux of the issue lies in a song that has sparked both admiration and controversy.

“The song is beautiful, we love it, we approve and support it. We would gladly continue to support it, but he needs to do the right thing,” said Richie.

The brothers contend that Tebza De DJ failed to seek proper clearance or obtain a blessing from the family or label before reworking the song.

Richie revealed that he made efforts to investigate whether any communication had taken place between their family and Tebza De DJ.

The brothers assert that the vocals of the song belong to their mother, Vuyelwa Mapitlula, who they firmly believe also deserves credit.

Teanet brothers suggest that Tebza De DJ might be trying to resolve the matter secretly with a major label associated with their father’s previous work.

The Teanet brothers warn that if the situation is not rectified in a fair and transparent manner, legal action will be on the table, and the dispute could take an uglier turn.

“He seemed to not have time to speak. He said he would get back to us but hasn’t as yet. As it stands, it seems as though they are trying to fix things behind our backs with one of the major labels.”

When approached for comment, Tebza De DJ initially reacted with apparent distress, dropping the phone in response to the matter.

Later, he offered only a vague statement, stating, “No comment at the moment. Maybe later. I’m not in a good place.”
